The Small Numerical Rods are designed for the Child to work at a table or on a mat to practice their addition and subtraction after they have worked with the Large Number Rods. Typically the child who works with this material is between 4 and 6 years.
Also known as the Table Top Number Rods, one set of rods is the control whilst the other is the working set. The addition problems that the Child can solve will be less than 10, whilst the subtraction problems with a minuend that is not greater than 10.
The material consists of 2 sets of 10 wooden rods divided into unit increments by alternating colors of red and blue. Manufactured in MDF and sprayed with eco-friendly lacquer, the blue and red segments are bright and accurate for this type of activity.
The activity also includes a set of number tiles for control and is stored in a wooden box (35 x 16 x 3 cm).
